Does your child love science? How would you like to have your child explore his or her inner mad scientist? The Town of Newburgh Recreation Department presents Super Science Saturdays every Saturday starting Jan. 27 and running through March 10 at the Parks and Recreation building, 311 Route 32 in Newburgh.

This is a dream come true for future scientists. During this program kids explore chemistry in a playful and safe manner. With hands-on activities and demonstrations, kids will both learn and apply the concepts, tools and techniques of real chemists. Kids will start by learning real lab techniques and safety procedures, then use these to mix  concoctions and chemical combos. They will experiment with super-sticky-stuff, explore glow-in-the-dark technology, mix potions, make slime, and grow crystals! Each child will take home a full set of Mad Science lab gear that includes a graduated cylinder, a beaker, a flask, an experiment tube, pH paper, a thermo-color cup, and more. Pretty cool!
