Sullivan County Man Found Dead in His Home

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office has said that a Swan Lake man was found dead in his home Monday night following an apparent homicide.

Undersherriff Eric Chaboty says deputies responded to a 911 call to the single-family home around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The sheriff's office is not yet releasing the victim's name or how he was killed. Chaboty said officers are following up on multiple leads. He added though that there is no danger to the public.

The sheriff's office is being assisted in the investigation by the New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
