The Sullivan County Senior Games are coming back to the Hudson Valley this fall. They will not only give area seniors a chance to participate in activities such as football toss, mile-walks, horseshoes and more, they can also give others a chance to volunteer in their community.

The Office for the Aging in Sullivan County is looking not only for game participants but for individuals who are interested in lending a hand during the upcoming senior games. They need help with setup, organization, as well as breakdown.

The games will be held in September at the Ted Stroebele Recreation Center in Monticello, with events held throughout the day. There will be men's and women's divisions in each competition, with the top three competitors in each game recognized.

It's all friendly and fun competition, so don't sit on the sidelines. If you or someone you know is interested in either participating in the games or volunteering at them, please call the Office for the Aging at 845-807-0241.
