Subway Train Explosion Caught on Video by Alleged Vandals

An incriminating video was allegedly posted and quickly taken down by vandals as they cause a NYC subway car to explode in flames.

According to a post on YouTube, the explosion was the work of subway vandals who have allegedly done this type of thing before. The fireball that erupted on the tracks is the result of metal being left in the way of a train so it would cause a short with the third rail when the engine rolled over it.

The video was taken as the C train pulled into Nostrand Avenue late last week. PIX11 reports that the police have seen the video and are currently investigating the incident.

Another video reportedly shows the same kids using a metal sign to short out the third rail in a different area of the NYC subway system.
