We always hear the health warnings about alcohol. It's bad for the heart. It's bad for the liver etc.

But does drinking a little bit a day actually help you live a longer life? One study seems to indicate that.

TIME says that new research finds that moderate drinking is linked to a longer life. The big question is just how much is moderate? In this case, we're talking about about two glasses of wine or beer a day.

TIME says that drinking that amount a day was linked to an 18% drop in a person’s risk of early death. The recent findings were presented at a conference for the American Association for the Advancement of Science. where exactly does the research come from?

The results came from the 90+ Study, a research project out of the University of California Irvine’s Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders that examines the habits of people who live to at least 90.

Of course, some are saying this research may be oversimplified and that more studies need to be done. In the mean time though...drink up!
