If you or someone you know is one of the many delayed train commuters at Penn Station, then here's something that can help pass some time and maybe quench some thirst in the process.

Blue Point Brewery has brewed a special kind of beer for those held up during the dreaded "Summer of Hell", appropriately titled Delayed. The well known Patchogue, New York brewery debuted the new brew Monday.

ABC 7 says that the Delayed pilsner is described by the brewery as tasting somewhat floral and hoppy, but at just under 6% A.P.V. is very drinkable. You could probably go through a few while you wait for your train to arrive. Making it to an available bathroom could be another story, but that's besides the point.

What's even cooler is that the outside of 16-ounce can is designed to look like the Long Island Rail Road schedule board, adding a nice little touch.

As you probably know, Amtrak started huge renovations and reconstruction this summer on the decrepit tracks at Penn Station, thus holding up thousand of commuters, mainly on the Long Island Rail Road and New Jersey Transit.

Amtrack says the first part of the project should be done by Labor Day weekend, but that remains to be seen. In the mean time, drink up!
