Singer Michael Sweet of Stryper returns to play a solo show at The Loft (upstairs at The Chance) this Friday, March 5 at 7pm.

Christian metal band Stryper rose to fame in the 1980’s with a string of hits and MTV music videos. The band’s debut EP The Yellow and Black Attack was released in 1983 on Enigma Records. Their most successful period would be the mid 80’s with the release of the platinum selling To Hell With the Devil. The band would release two more albums, 1988’s In God We Trust and 1990’s Against The Law before disbanding. They reunited in 1999 and have continued to record and tour ever since. Their latest album is 2015’s Fallen and a new album called God Damn Evil is due out April 20. The show Friday will be a solo acoustic concert featuring Stryper hits and solo material from Michael Sweet’s catalog. Aftershow party with Tigman immediately follows. Over in The Chance Friday night it's Facelift (the Official Mike Starr Alice in Chains tribute) with Stolen Temple Pilots (Stone Temple Pilots tribute). Gonna be a fun night of rock n roll!

Tickets for Michael Sweet with guests Moriah Formica, Amanda Ayala, and Todd Mihan are on sale and available through ticketweb.com and the Chance box office at 845-471-1966.
