Heavy thunderstorms with strong gusty winds moved across the Hudson Valley Tuesday afternoon, less than a day after snow and ice fell across the region.

Some wind gusts in northern New Jersey were reported at over 60 m.p.h. as the storms moved from the south. Parts of New York City were even under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning early Tuesday afternoon.

Central Hudson as well as Orange and Rockland Utilities reported wide spread power outages across the area.

Heavy rainfall has been reported across the Hudson Valley with some areas seeing possible flooding.

The heavy storms come temperatures climbed into the upper 50s.
