Sting Isn’t Going To Leave Any Money For His Kids
You’d think being related to someone with an estimated worth of 300 million would eventually pay off, but maybe not so much if Gordon Sumner, better known to the world as singer and song writer Sting. The 62 year old Sting has three sons and three daughters ranging in age from 38 to 18), but will leave behind very little, if anything, not wanting them to become “trust fund” kids. His estimated wealth, listed in the Sunday Times Rich List of 2011, makes him one of the ten richest people in British music industry.
All my kids know that, and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate. Obviously if they were in trouble, I would help them, but I’ve never really had to do that. They have the work ethic that makes them want to succeed on their own merit.
While some could see this at maybe a bit stingy, but at least his kids will hopefully earn the meaning of a dollar, and not use their father’s name to get by in life. There are quite a few other celebrity kids who could learn a lesson from this.
