If you buy ice cream at Stewart's, make sure you check your pint containers.

According to WTEN, Stewart's Shops have announced a recall of pints of their popular Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup ice cream because they may have been incorrectly packaged with a lid for a different flavor which could result in a dangerous situation for those with peanut allergies.

Stewart's have issued the recall after they found that a pint of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup ice cream was found to have a Chocolate ice cream lid on it and, if consumed by someone who has peanut allergies, could be deadly.

The affected ice cream was distributed in upstate New York and in Southern Vermont.

As of now, no illnesses have been reported and if you find that you purchased Stewart’s pint Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream with a Sell By code date of 08/23/18, you can return the ice cream to your local Stewart’s Shops for a full refund.
