The long lead-up to Steven Tyler's first solo album is scheduled to continue later this month with the release of his next single, "Red White & You."

According to a press release issued by Tyler's label, the Big Machine Records subsidiary Dot Records, the new song is an "American uptempo country anthem," and will be available to radio on Jan. 25. Tyler's most recent solo single, "Love Is Your Name," peaked at No. 19 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart after its release last May.

The Aerosmith frontman has taken a deliberate approach to his first full-length foray outside the band, most recently admitting that even though he'd already led it off with "Love Is Your Name," the rest of the record was still so up in the air that he wasn't sure what else would be on it or when it might be out — although he hoped to have it in stores by "February or so" of this year.

Meanwhile, Tyler's begun building out his solo concert calendar, scheduling a pair of dates with the Nashville group Loving Mary set to take place at the Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls on March 29 and 31. Further touring plans have yet to be confirmed, but as previously reported, Tyler's solo plans are expected to keep Aerosmith off the road in 2016, a development that's left guitarist Brad Whitford admittedly ambivalent.

"We’re not getting any younger," said Whitford last month. "Yeah, he could have great success with this thing and maybe wanna take it out on the road and do a more extensive tour. But that’s Steven. Nothing ever surprises me with him. He’s very unpredictable like that sometimes. So we’ll see. I hope it’s a hit for him. It’ll be great for Aerosmith."
