Peanut butter cup fans rejoice! Hershey's is giving Reece's fans the unique opportunity to experience what it's like to eat a "fresh from the factory" version of the popular candy.

Occasionally, Hershey's will allow customers to buy special runs of their candy that are shipped out immediately after they are created. Your average peanut butter cup is produced and then stored in a warehouse, shipped across the country, only to wind up sitting on the store shelf for who-knows-how-long until you buy it.

With the "fresh from the factory" version, however, Hershey claims that you'll enjoy the "rich, sumptuous aroma of fresh peanut butter.(and) savor the blend of smooth, creamy chocolate and rich peanut-buttery goodness" the way it was intended. As soon as the peanut butter cups are created, they're immediately shipped out to your home or office.

Pre-ordering is available right now, with delivery expected sometime between March 25 and 31, just in time for Easter. For $27.95 (pre shipping) you'll receive a recyclable plastic tub filled with two and a half pounds of snack-size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. That comes out to around 72 cups. Considering that two cups cost .80 cents in our vending machine at work, the price works out to be just about the same. Although, you'll have to be able to consume all 72 cups within a few days to take full advantage of them being "factory fresh."

This seems like a great deal for offices or groups of people who can chip in and enjoy the unique opportunity of having super-fresh Reese's.

If anyone decides to order some of these limited-edition candies, let us know. We'd really be interested to find out if you can tell the difference between a fresh peanut butter cup and one that's been sitting in your cupboard since Halloween.
