Today (Aug. 9) marks the 30th anniversary of Ratt's third studio album ‘Dancing Undercover’. Tune into The Tig Files as we feature tracks from this album at 6:35pm.

Ratt's third studio album, Dancing Undercover was released on Atlantic Records on Aug. 9, 1986. was released on Mercury Records Aug. 1, 1986. The album peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200 chart and contained the single "Dance", which appeared in an episode of the tv series Miami Vice. Other singles included "Body Talk" which was featured on the motion picture soundtrack to the Eddie Murphy movie The Golden Child and "Slip of the Lip". Opening acts on the tour in support of the album included Poison, Cinderella, Cheap Trick, Queensryche, and Vinnie Vincent Invasion.

Ratt formed out of Los Angeles, California and had a successful career with a string of hits during the glam metal scene of the 1980’s. The band's biggest single was "Round and Round" off the 1984 album Out of the Cellar.
