Due to new security procedures put in place at Yankee Stadium for 2015, fans were told to expect long lines at the gate, and that's exactly what happened.

NJ.com talked to Yankee ticket holders who waited in lines of over an hour on Monday for the opening day game. As expected, most fans weren't too happy about the long wait.

Gates opened two and a half hours before first pitch, and the Yankees urged fans to take advantage of the extra time to make sure they didn't miss a minute of the game. Those who listened to the warning and arrived more than an hour before the game had little problems getting in. But the fans that arrived closer to game time weren't as lucky.
