Friday's commute might be difficult. Forecasters are calling for some snow and freezing weather in the Hudson Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of light snow fall starting around midnight. Light snow many continue to fall until 9 a.m. Friday.

Forecasts are predicting less than an inch to three inches of snow for Dutchess, Ulster and Putnam Counties. Orange County could see less than an inch to two inches.

While the amount of snowfall is predicted to be limited, freezing weather could lead to dangerous roads. Areas of black ice is possible, as ground surfaces may have a light snow cover from overnight light snow showers, and temperatures are below freezing.

Motorists should be careful while driving over untreated surfaces, bridges, elevated road surfaces, highway on and off ramps, less traveled secondary roads and parking lots, officials warn.

As always, check back here to use our storm center tool, below, to get the latest closings and delays for the Hudson Valley.
