Around 7,000 people made their voices heard at the Poughkeepsie Women’s March Across the Hudson.

This past Saturday hundreds of thousands marched across the country, many to send a message to President Donald Trump. For those that didn't want to travel, one was held at the Walkway Over The Hudson.

According to the Poughkeepsie Women's March Across the Hudson Facebook page, about 7,000 attended. The march was a a peaceful statement by those concerned about women’s rights and civil rights, not an anti-Trump rally.

"The march was meant to be about what we want to see--rights defended, concerns addressed, etc," organizers wrote on the Poughkeepsie Women's March Across the Hudson Facebook page. "It was an inclusive march demanding that we be heard; and not an anti-Trump rally."

Men and women of all ages attended the march, including this youngster who marched -- and danced!
