According to Ulster County sheriff's deputies, a Wawarsing drug deal gone bad has lead to the arrest of two local men. Police say the two men allegedly met with the unidentified victim to complete a heroin deal, when one of the suspects...26 year old Ryan Noval allegedly attempted to rob the victim and shot him with a shotgun. Police responded to the emergency call where they found the wounded victim. Noval was arrested at his home after a brief standoff. Another man...36 year old Edward L. Scriber was also arrested for allegedly providing Noval with the gun.

According to the Daily Freeman :

"Noval was charged with assault and attempted robbery, both felonies, and Scriber, who has a previous conviction, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, deputies said."

The victim is recovering at Westchester Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
