Powdered alcohol, or Palcohol, won't be hitting the shelves till at least the summer but . Senator Chuck Schumer is already calling for the product to be banned. According to Newsday, Schumer said Thursday that he is introducing legislation that would outlaw the production, sale and possession of the product. The Senator raises concerns that the product can be easily accessible to minors because of how easily it can be concealed, snorted or mixed with food and drink.

Palcohol's maker Mark Phillips announced Wednesday that it had gained approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.
