With Nintendo announcing the release of their mini NES console with 30 built in games, Sega wanted to join the nostalgia party with their mega drive classic game console with 80 built-in games.

This is not something that is really new, At Games have been working on mega drive clones for few years, and this is the latest attempt to capitalize on all the hype surrounding Nintendo Entertainment System's: Classic NES Edition.

Much like Nintendo's NES Classic Edition, Sega's Mega Drive Console comes bundled with games, but has 80 games as opposed to Nintendo's 30. Included in the 80 games are selections like Sonic 2, and Vector Man.

The console will also support original cartridges, however some cartridges may not be compatible due to cartridge conditions, according to Gadgets.ndtv.com

Between Nintendo and Sega the inner child in me is loving the nostalgic feelings these consoles are providing. Being a parent, these awesome products allow you to indroduce your children to what games you grew up playing.
