Second Clinton Correctional Facility Worker Charged

BREAKING: According to CNN, a second employee at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora has been charged.

Clinton County District Attorney Andrew Wylie tells CNN that Officer Gene Palmer allegedly took frozen meat from Joyce Mitchell, who is accused of placing tools inside the meat, and bringing it into the prison. CBS 6 Albany reports that Palmer is charged with promoting contraband, destroying evidence and official misconduct. Richard Matt and David Sweat cut their way out of Clinton on June 6 and have been on the run since.
