Doug Ingle is the Iron Butterfly founding member, organist, primary composer and lead vocalist. Most famously, he wrote the band’s biggest hit “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”. The song “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” clocks in at just over 17 minutes and is considered significant in rock history as one of the early transitions of psychedelic rock into heavy metal along with music by bands like Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, and Steppenwolf. Doug Ingle left Iron Butterfly in 1971 and has toured with his former band members on and off throughout the years.

Guitarist Chris Caffery is best known for his work with metal band Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He’s also released four solo albums since 2004. His guitar influences include Ted Nugent, Rik Emmett, Ace Frehely, Randy Rhoads, and Michael Schenker. Chris Caffery lives in the Hudson Valley, NY area and I've met em before and caught em out at rock shows many times over the years. The guy is a true rocker. Check out a photo below of me hangin with Chris a few years back. Cheers to Chris on his 50th! For more on Chris Caffery, check out his official website here.
