Saturday, September 19: Happy Birthday Lita Ford

Happy Birthday to rocker Lita Ford. The former member of the Runaways turns 57 today (Sept. 19).

Following the breakup of The Runaways, Ford launched a solo career and released her debut solo album 'Out for Blood' in 1983. The album was a commercial disappointment. She followed that up with the album 'Dancin' on the Edge' in 1984 and that album achieved moderate success with the single 'Gotta Let Go'. In 1988, she released her most successful album 'Lita' which included the hits 'Kiss Me Deadly' along with duet with Ozzy, 'Close My Eyes Forever'.
