Commuters anticipating a significant detour in Milan will have a few more days of smooth sailing as a bridge replacement project has been delayed...again.

The project is set to replace a bridge that crosses the Sawkill Creek on Route 199 between Rock City Road and the junction for Route 308 in the Red Hook/Milan area. Work was originally scheduled to begin on April 7th but was then pushed to April 25. Now thanks to my informative friend, flashy the sign, we now know the project has been pushed it's start date to April 27.

Although the new delay is only an additional two days it's something commuters should plan for. I mean if it means avoiding a 12-mile detour Im all for it. Flashy say's the project is still anticipated to last through April 11th. This is the third delay for the project since announced by the State Department of Transportation.
