It seems like this has been a rumor for years. First I remember hearing that a Six Flags was coming then an Action Park type place. It looks like what could be coming is a mix between them.

They are calling it the Wildberry Lodge and it could be coming to New Paltz in Ulster County. According to the Daily Freeman, the lodge would be built right off of Exit 18 of the New State Thruway, between the exit and South Ohioville Rd.

The lodge would be huge! Steve Turks who also owns the Rocking Horse Ranch is behind the project and told the Daily Freeman that it would be four stories high and have a 70,000-square-foot indoor water park, 10,000 square feet of conference facilities, up to six indoor and eight outdoor tennis courts, a zip line, a ropes course, an outdoor climbing wall, outdoor water rides, a spa and a 10-lane bowling alley. It will cost around $80 million to build, all on just over 55 acres of land.

The facility could bring some much needed jobs to Ulster County as well. It could employ up to 400 full-time workers.
