After much speculation, the New York Knicks have reached an agreement to make Jeff Hornacek the new coach of the franchise, according to a report from the NY Daily News

While the hiring is not official quite yet, all signs point to Hornacek becoming the next coach as he was seen out to dinner with team President Phil Jackson. This is their second meeting in three days.

Hornacek may seem like a surprise choice for some. Regardless, he'll have his work cut for him as he is the fifth coach in just four years for the Knicks. He most recently coached his former team from his laying days, the Phoenix Suns. He was fired in February after almost three seasons with the Suns, where he compiled a 101-112 record.

Hornacek replaces interim coach Kurt Rambis, who took over after the firing of Derick Fisher in February.
