We received sad news today with the passing of Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero who died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 55. Pero was scheduled to perform with his band Adrenaline Mob tonight in Poughkeepsie at The Chance. He died at Vassar Brothers Hospital.

I got to meet A.J. over the years at many Twisted Sister concerts and also got the chance to work with him with the annual WPDH Biker's for Babies motorcycle events back in the day. He was such a nice guy and I'm very saddened by this news. I recall djing at a Poughkeepsie area bar one night when A.J. showed up and hung out with everyone. He signed autographs and took pictures with everybody. He was a real class act. He had just joined the band Adrenaline Mob last year as replacement for drummer Mike Portnoy and was also recruited recently by the band Four By Fate.

Our hearts go out to Aj Pero's family, the guys in Twisted Sister, Adrenaline Mob, Four By Fate and all his friends. R.I.P. A.J.
