Prince recorded a lot of music in his lifetime. A whole lot.

Apparently, there's a giant vault in the Paisley Park basement with literally thousands of songs, albums and even films. Alan Leeds, Prince's former tour manager, even claims that he recorded every single concert he ever performed. Many friends, performers, engineers, and business associates over the years back up these claims.

For some, this treasure trove is like a real life Ark of the Covenant.

One filmmaker was so curious he even made a documentary about the enormous back catalog. Mobeen Azhar confirmed it's existence in 2015's Hunting for Prince’s Vault.

Of course, there will be a lot of legal loopholes to cross before we ever hear any of this music. The NY Daily News and Wall Street Journal say that Warner Music Group co-owns the rights to all of the Prince's unreleased music recorded between 1978 and 1996.
