News that Red Robin in Poughkeepsie had issues with an exhaust fan caused some confusion in the Hudson Valley this week. The exhaust fan in their kitchen did malfunction Sunday, but the issue was resolved within 24 hours.

A media report stated the restaurant would be closed through Tuesday, while in fact they were open Monday, December 4th by 4PM. Red Robin manager Kimberly Henstebeck stated that customer safety is their top priority and they did not want to reopen the restaurant until the fan was in 100% working order.

The issue began when the kitchen started filling with smoke Sunday, the culprit being a broken exhaust fan. Arlington Fire District rushed to the scene after an automatic fire alarm was tripped.

The article stating they'd be closed through Tuesday had been making the rounds on social media the past few days, so we wanted to make sure you knew they were officially open.
