The execution of a search warrant, resulted in the arrest of a Poughkeepsie man for criminal drug and weapons charges. 

New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit , Members of State Police Wappingers, and NYSP Special Operations Response Team, conducted a narcotics investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Patrick R. Belding, 49, a convicted felon.

Belding was found to unlawfully possess two shotguns, one rifle, and one fully loaded, high capacity magazine for an assault weapon. The investigation also resulted in the seizure of heroin, methadone, various drug paraphernalia, and U. S. currency.

Belding is charged with two counts of Criminal Sale and Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third-degree, Criminal Possession of Weapon in the third-degree,  and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth-degree.

Belding was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to dutchess County Jail without bail.
