Poughkeepsie Greek Fest Is This Weekend

The annual Poughkeepsie Greek Fest kicks of Thursday, Sept. 22 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Hellenic Center, 140 South Grand Street, Poughkeepsie.

What can you expect to see and do at the festival?

• Purchase amazing tasting Greek food and desserts. Will you try a Gyro, Slouvaki or Baklava for the first time? Or are you already a Greek food expert? Which do you recommend for a novice to try first?
• Listen to traditional Greek music
• Join in the traditional Greek dancing (don't worry the kids will show you how to do it first!)
• A variety of vendors and concessions

The festival is pay as you go. The hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11AM to 11PM and Sunday 12PM to 6PM. Bring the kids and expect to be there for a few hours enjoying yourself.
