This Saturday, April 22, is Earth Day.  And The City of Poughkeepsie will be celebrating both Friday and Saturday. It is a chance for residents to have fun and help clean up the city at the same time.

The festivities begin Friday at 3:30 pm outside at Poughkeepsie City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza.  There will be live music with Blues Hall of Famer Joe Louis Walker, Hudson Valley favorite Murali Coryell, and many more.  There will also be food trucks, free bicycle repair, and informational tables.

On Saturday, there will be a city wide clean up, and all residents are invited to take part in the seven minute cleanup.  Poughkeepsie is a beautiful city, and it just needs a little help getting back on its feet.  This Earth Day weekend will be a great start to bringing the city back to its old glory.
