It's never a good idea to grow your own pot. According to Hudson Valley News Network, two Rosendale residents were arrested Tuesday and charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana after 12 pounds of pot was wfound at their Greenkill Road home.

The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) got a tip that pot was being grown out of the home, according to a press release from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Greenkill Road in the Town of Rosendale and found $1,700 in cash and growing paraphernalia in addition to the marijuana.

Alexander B. Rabsey, 41, and Michelle L. Thomas, 31, each were arrested and charged Both were arraigned in Rosendale Town Court and released to reappear at a later time.

URGENT was assisted by the following law enforcement agencies: Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Woodstock Police, Town of Lloyd Police, Town of Shandaken Police, Ulster County Probation, Town of Plattekill Police, Village of Ellenville Police, Town of Marlborough Police, Town of New Paltz Police and United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
