Two of Hunter Mountain's biggest events of the year are coming up in August.

On Aug. 6, come check out the International Celtic Festival, which will feature fantastic entertainment and music from The Narrowbacks, Barleyjuice, Off Kilter, Andy Cooney and more.

Plus, there will be bagpipe competitions, the annual Mass March, and for the first time this year, you can participate in the Highland Games! Test your skill in rounds of stone put, hammer throw, and a crowd favorite, the caber toss.

Tickets are $16 for adults; kids 12 and under get in free.

Then on Aug. 13, Hunter Mountain will host the German Alps Festival, featuring music from Grammy Award-winner Jimmy Sturr and Chris Caffery from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The festival will include the Spitz Blitz Run, where you can challenge yourself to run up the mountain to help benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Plus, you can check out the 3rd annual Dachshund Derby, which includes a race and a costume contest for up to 35 Dachshunds, with all the proceeds to benefit a local animal shelter.

Tickets are $12 for adults; kids 12 and under get in free.
