Two Central Hudson employees avoided injuries, after an allegedly intoxicated woman struck their parked van, which had emergency lights activated.

On Thursday, at approximately 1:02 p.m. Saugerties Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Cross Street near the intersection of Ulster Avenue in the Village of Saugerties.

Investigation determined that Patricia A. Wigginton, 54, of Saugerties was operating her vehicle southbound on Cross Street, when she rear-ended a parked Central Hudson Utility vehicle.

The Central Hudson vehicle was parked with it's emergency light activated when it was struck. The Central Hudson vehicle was pushed forwarded approximately two feet, nearly striking two employees that were standing nearby.
