Police: Woman Impaired By Drugs Crashes on the Taconic State Parkway

A Fishkill woman is facing felony charges following a crash on the Taconic State Parkway. 

A approximately 8:21 a.m. Troopers were dispatched to a one-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway.

Ferne M. Peterson, age 55, of Fishkill was traveling southbound in a 2006 Jeep, when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the guide rail.

An investigation revealed that Peterson was impaired by drugs at the time of the crash.

Peterson was  charged with felony DWAI-Drugs when a criminal history checked revealed a pevious DWI conviction in 2012.

Peterson was issued traffic tickets, and directed to appear in Court later this month to answer to her charges.
