An Ulster County woman is accused of forging notes that excused her husband from missing court mandated courses.

Members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Sheilann B. Jones-Blackwell of Highland regarding an investigation into several forgeries committed while on probation with Ulster County.

Jones-Blackwell was charged with forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument, both felonies.

Deputies received a report from Ulster County Probation alleging that Jones-Blackwell, while on probation, forged notes for her husband, who is also on probation, excusing him for missing court mandated courses.

Jones-Blackwell is accused of using stationary and names from the business she is employed at, police say.

Jones-Blackwell was arraigned in Ulster Town Court and released to reappear on a later date. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible, officials say.
