A wanted Ulster County man is accused of being in possession of 90 decks of heroin and more.

On Wednesday around 6 a.m., members of the New York State Department of Corrections Division of Parole requested the assistance of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (Urgent) to find Jason Rodgers who was wanted for allegedly violating parole.

When the 40-year-old from Kerhonkson was found, he was found with 90 decks of heroin, a quantity of Suboxone and drug packaging material, police say.

Rodgers was charged with the third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and misdemeanors for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Rodgers potentially faces violations with the New York State Department Of Corrections Division Of Parole.

Rodgers was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail on a warrant issued by the New York State Department of Corrections Division of Parole. He will be arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing on a future date.
