Police say an Orange County man driving with a suspended license was caught driving nearly three times over the legal limit of intoxication.

On Friday around 1:30 a.m., Orange County Sheriff’s deputies observed an alleged speeding vehicle unable to maintain its lane on Robinson Avenue in the City of Newburgh.

During the traffic stop, deputies allege that the driver, 25-year-old Dean Terrizzi of Cornwall, displayed signs of intoxication.

A further investigation revealed that Terrizzi was operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended, police say.

Terrizzi was subsequently arrested and transported to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office where he provided a positive breath sample of .22% BAC, police say.

Terrizzi was charged with one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated unlicensed operation. He was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and $5,000 bond.
