An Ulster County teenager with a checkered past is facing felony charges after he allegedly broke a victim's iPhone.

Kyle E. Taylor, 19, of Saugerties was charged with criminal contempt, a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

According Saugerties Police, Friday at the Mid-Hudson Federal Union in the Town of Saugerties, Taylor broke a victim’s iPhone 6 Plus by punching and throwing it the ground.

At the time of the alleged incident, Taylor had a stay away order of protection in effect that was issued by the Town of Saugerties Justice Court on July 6, officials say.

Taylor was arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail on $1,000 bail.

On July 4, Taylor was arrested for harassment for allegedly grabbing a female victim’s face, spitting on her, and being verbally abusive.
