An Ulster County woman was arrested after police say she hit a victim that had an order of protection.

Dena M. Pecorella, 40, of Port Ewen was charged with 1st-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and a violation for 2nd-degree harassment.

According to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a physical domestic dispute at a residence in Port Ewen. An investigation revealed that Pecorella struck a victim during the altercation. The defendant's actions violated a duly served "no harass" order of protection in place issued by the Town of Esopus Justice Court.

Pecorella was arraigned in the Town of Hurley Justice Court and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail and $10,000 secured bond.
