A Hudson valley teen is accused of injuring three people in a drug induced head-on collision.

On Saturday around 11 p.m., members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a two-car head-on motor vehicle accident with injuries on Oregon Trail in the Town of Shawangunk.

An investigation revealed that a 2011 Cadillac was traveling south on Oregon Trail when a 2015 Jeep traveling north drifted into the southbound lane and caused a collision, police say.

The driver of the Jeep, a 16-year-old girl from Pine Bush, was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of drugs. Authorities didn’t release which drugs the teen allegedly used.

The unnamed 16-year-old from Pine Bush was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and given traffic violations.

Three people involved in the accident were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Their conditions are unclear at this time.

The 16-year-old is scheduled to appear in Town of Shawangunk Justice Court in the future.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Town of Crawford Police, Walker Valley Fire Department and Pine Bush Ambulance.
