Police are trying to identify a woman who tried to cash a stolen check, while driving a vehicle with a stolen license plate, and using a stolen driver's license.

If you try to cash a stolen check, you might as well drive a vehicle with stolen plates, and present a stolen driver's license to the teller at the bank. It only makes sense...

Police are trying to identify the woman pictured above after she tried to cash a stolen check  at the M&T Bank in Mohegan Lake, NY. The subject was operating a black Hyundai Santa Fe with a New Jersey Registration (the plate stolen from Linden, NJ).

The check that the subject attempted to cash was stolen from a vehicle in Wayne, PA on August 25th. The NYS Driver's License that was presented to bank teller was reported stolen from a vehicle in Newburgh, NY on May 4.

Any person having information regarding this incident or our investigation is asked to contact Inv. Peter Ciacci at (914) 788-8044 or at Peter.Ciacci@troopers.ny.gov
