This cold weather has everyone very jumpy.

Police in Hudson, New York were notified that an elderly woman was found frozen to death inside a vehicle. However, when authorities showed up, what they actually found inside the vehicle was something they weren't expecting all.

When police showed up they could see an elderly person sitting in the front passenger seat and wearing an oxygen mask. CBS Albany says the individual was not responding to the officers' calls so a sergeant broke a window to gain access.

Thing is, this elderly woman was really a detailed, life sized mannequin.

The owner of the car works for a company that manufactures medical training aides. The mannequin inside is used as a CPR training device.

If you click on the CBS link above you'll see the pic of the mannequin provided by the Hudson Police Department. It's easy to understand how it could be mistaken for a human being, especially from a distance.

Of course, with the weather being as dangerously cold as it's been, it's better to be safe than sorry. It's definitely nice to know there wasn't an actual elderly person frozen in a car.

Only thing now is that the vehicle owner is understandably angry over the broken window, though that's something he'll have to work out with Hudson Police.
