A quiet bicycle shop in Pleasant Valley was paid an unwanted visit from an intruder Saturday afternoon, though this intruder was not of the human variety.

Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and state police were called to the shop after A DEER followed one of the store employees through the door, kicked him in the back of the legs, and proceeded to try to trash the place. The deer struggled to run on the store's tile floor, before eventually heading into the back of the store and then getting stuck in the bathroom. Several bikes were knocked over and mirror was broken, though no major damage was done.  Once authorities arrived, the doe was tied up with a dog leash and carried out. Once released outside, the deer headed across Route 44 and jumped into a nearby cemetery.
