Police: Prostitute From NY State Brought Child to Appointment

This is not what they by 'bring your kids to work'.

Police say a Tonawanda, NY woman was arrested after allegedly bringing her 14 month old child with her to a prostitution appointment. CBS 6 Albany reports that the escort client she was going to meet was actually an undercover officer.

NY State Police say that 25-year-old Ciara Steffen had been advertising escort services online. Steffen showed up for the appointment at an Amherst, NY hotel along with the child, officials say. Police say she told the undercover officer she would leave the 14 month-old in the bathroom while engaging in a sexual act.

Officers say she was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with prostitution and child endangerment. She is being held Friday in the Erie County Jail.
