Talk about being caught with your hand in the cookie jar. Well, sort of.

The Altoona Mirror reports that 47-year-old, repeat shoplifter James Kaylor was checking out at a food store in Altoona, PA when a clerk told police Kaylor had shoved something down his pants.

So what was the item he allegedly stole? Raspberry cookies.

Police say they confronted the cookie theif after he paid for his other items but not the raspberry biscuits. Altoona police say Kaylor acknowledged the theft was a stupid thing to do. Kaylor's latest charge is a felony even though the box of cookies was only $3.49.
Kaylor has six previous retail theft arrests and four convictions, according to the Altoona Mirror
