A New York doctor and his wife have been charged for allegedly taking in boat loads of money while dishing out illegal pill prescriptions valued at nearly $77 million.

LoHud reports Dr. Rogelio Lucas and his wife Lydia were selling oxycodone prescriptions over an extended period of time from his Manhattan based medical practice. The couple, who owns homes in Scarsdale and NYC, had over $600,000 in cash seized.

The DEA stated Lucas wrote more than 23,000 prescriptions for the highly addictive oxycodone since 2009. This would amount to approximately 3 million pills worth around $77 million.
