Man Shot Multiple Times in Poughkeepsie

Police need help identifying a shooter after a man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds in Poughkeepsie.

On Sunday at around 6:00 p.m., Poughkeepsie 911 received a report of a man shot in the area of 18 Suncrest Court. Responding officers found a 40-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The unnamed victim was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for his wounds. He’s listed in serious condition but is expected to survive.

The suspect is described as a “Spanish looking” male who fled the area on foot. An area check for the suspect didn’t turn anything up, police say.
