New York State Police have arrested a Hudson Valley man for assault and weapon possession after he stabbed a co-worker during an argument.

Police allege that on January 22nd, 60-year-old Pedro Trinidad-Montano, from Middletown, stabbed 37-year-old Martin Valle-Perez, also of Middletown in the left thigh with a pair of scissors. Emergency officials responded to the Goodness Gardens in New Hampton and transported Valle-Perez by ambulance to Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. Valle-Perez was treated and released.

Troopers arrested Trinidad-Montano, and charged him with 2nd-degree assault and 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned in Town of Wawayanda Court, and committed to Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. Trinidad-Montano is due in Wawayanda Court on February 18th.
