Police Investigate Fatal Dutchess County Fire
State Police are investigating a structure fire in Dutchess County, that left one dead.
On Friday, State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks were dispatched by 911 to a structure fire in Clinton Corners.
When police and fire arrived on scene, they observed a shed, detached from the home, engulfed in flames. A resident of the home, 56 year-old Kevin A. McGarry was located inside the shed deceased.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Police and the Dutchess County Cause and Origin Team.
The fire was brought under control by the East Clinton Fire Department, Pleasant Valley Fire Department, and the Stanford Fire Department.
